🌊Beginner tips for surfing in Bali🤓

We never thought we’d be able to stand on our boards on our first session!

Unless you’re at the wavehouse or riding the Flowrider, there aren’t many waves in Singapore to actually ✨experience✨ surfing.

So we purchased a morning surf session on Klook when we were nomad-ing in Bali and hoped for the best.

The locals recommended us to surf in Kuta for its “baby waves” that were alot more manageable for beginners. Canggu’s known for really beautiful waves too but we’ll save that for when we’re ALOT better lol.

Our teachers were super patient and guided us through the entire process from basic moves to transporting the boards to the water and assessing the waves. After a dozen of salty gulps we finally got it right- and the look on their faces just made me want to get better and better 🥹🫠

We purchased some coconuts for our teachers after the session and they graciously even sent us a whole bunch of pictures someone took while we were “attempting” to surf.

It was an amazing experience and D is super excited to try it again soon (:
