🌱 Aloe Vera Care Tips: How to Revive a Stressed Plant 🌿

I went to Home Depot and noticed this aloe vera plant was showing some signs of stress, like a damaged leaf tip and some unusual spots on the leaves. After doing some research I decided to buy it and see if I could bring it out of stress. For the next 6 weeks I’m going to use this information I gathered below and update as much as possible. Follow to see the process.

Today 8/22/2024 Day 1:

1. Sunlight: Aloe vera loves bright, indirect sunlight. If your plant is getting too much direct sun, especially during midday, it could lead to sunburn. I moved mine to a spot with filtered light, and it’s looking much happier!

2. Watering: Less is more! Aloe vera is drought-tolerant, so let the soil dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can cause root rot, so be careful not to love your plant too much with water. 🌵💧

3. Soil: Well-draining soil is key. If your aloe is sitting in soggy soil, consider repotting it with a cactus or succulent mix. Always make sure your pot has drainage holes!

4. Leaf Care: Have a damaged leaf? You can trim it off with a clean knife to keep your plant looking neat. It won’t harm the plant at all.

5. Humidity: Aloe vera prefers dry conditions. If your space is too humid, ensure good airflow around the plant or move it to a drier spot.

6. Pot Size: Aloe vera likes a snug pot, but make sure there’s room for the roots to grow. If your plant starts to outgrow its pot, it’s time to repot!

By following these tips, my aloe vera is on the road to recovery, and I’m excited to see it thrive again! 🌿✨
