Alternative Wedding Venues - Say Bye To Tradition👋🏻

hey 🍋, I just got back from a weekend lunch wedding held at The Alkaff Mansion & it was so REFRESHING!! It’s actually the first wedding I’ve attended that isn’t held in a hotel banquet style.

Here’s my thoughts on it:

✔️Unique

-exterior looks really rustic & European, doesn’t feel like SG at all. There are also many outdoor elements with plenty of photo opportunities! 📸

✔️Modern

-most guests were dressed smart-casual and it makes the whole occasion more intimate

✔️Layout

-rectangle & square tables, very customizable layout. As I attended with 2 other friends, we were seated at a 4-seater table all to ourselves & thankfully no strangers!

✔️Food

-brunch food instead of the usual Chinese fare & look at the dishes, it’s so pretty & appetizing 😍

✔️Cost

-it’s a lot more affordable than hosting in a hotel! The wedding couple didn’t have to stress over finances which is a major relief

❌ Inconvenient

-such alternative venues are usually out of the way with no nearby public transport. I also saw a couple hosting their wedding in warehouse 😳

Overall I had such a good time and it didn’t feel as formal as weddings usually are. Hope this helps couples out there looking for a wedding venue 👰🏻‍♀️
