how to get to the iconic photospot in kennedy town

hi lemon8! recently i went to hong kong on a solo trip, and while finding things to do, i chanced upon Kennedy Town, which is a quaint town located near the sea. decided to make a trip down and here are some suggestions:

1) go to the photo spot and snap a pic of the iconic HK buildings with the sea as the background! think this photo spot became famous on xiao hong shu bc there were quite a number of Chinese tourists. refer to pics 3 onwards on how to get there from the MTR! it’s actually a basketball court haha.

2) sit at a cafe to enjoy the vibes

Kennedy Town has an antique charm to it, and everywhere you look, it’s just a very picturesque view - be it the colourful buildings, the sea view with ships passung by, laid back vibes of the town. i sat at % Arabica and the upper level had such a gorgeous view of the sea. could spend hours there with a coffee and a book!

tips: go on a weekday so it is not as crowded. saw from some videos that the queue is insane but luckily for me, i only waited a short while before the seat near the windows opened up.

3) stroll around the town - it has such nice vibes fr. suggest to make this a half day trip - either the first half to get some pretty blue sky photos, or for sunset!
