is the Celine Teen Triomphe bag worth it? 🤩🤔

hello lemon8!! wishing everyone a happy 2024 and a great fulfilling year ahead!! 🥳 i got my dream bag, the Celine Teen Triomphe bag, back in August. 4 months on, i have used it quite a bit and wanted to do a smol review of it - of what it fits and how i like it so far.

🙆🏻‍♀️ how many times i have used it: at least 7-8 times, including bringing it for an overseas trip recently.

👜 What it fits (refer to pics 2-4)

1) Hand sanitiser (card type)

2) Perfume (15ml)

3) Cardholder

4) Airpods

5) Lip gloss

6) Pouch with keys

7) Pad (1-2)

it can also easily fit a foldable bag, and fit my phone (iphone 11) but i normally carry it in my hand/ pocket. everything fits rly comfortably bc the bag has 3 flaps. i wouldn’t advise stuffing it too much tho bc it would be more difficult to close due to the front clasp.

👍Why I like it:

1) fits all my essentials easily - it really is quite roomy, but as i mentioned, i wouldn’t overstuff it.

2) super versatile, can be dressed up or down for the occasion, be it a brunch date or a formal dinner. it looks great no matter what you pair it with - a t shirt and denim shorts / a coat with jeans / dresses!

3) really really pretty bag that is subtle. it also feels super luxurious and high quality. i also like the structure that the bag has as it is my preference.

🙁 What could be better:

1) price: it retails for SGD 5,400 in SG…. oof. not sure if the price is gonna increase even more. recommend to buy it overseas to save a little. Europe is always the cheapest. Japan is also a great place to buy it as the retail prices are already lower!

2) definitely prone to scratches: the hardware and the bag is shiny so i am still very mindful of where i place my bag, as well as how i transport it when i bring it overseas. during my recent trip, i wore it to board the plane, and when i am in my seat, i took it off, put it in my dustbag, and into my handcarry to store under my seat. not recommended if you are carrying a lot of other stuff bc that might be when i scratched my bag from my recent trip ☹️ altho it’s not obvious unless under the light - see pic 5. i bought protective stickers for the hardware from Bags Need Care Too on Shopee so i’m not too worried about the hardware.

3) the strap will have dents on the setting where you use it the most - though mine isn’t that obvious yet. see pic 6

4) to open the bag, you have to press the clasp on the right side only. it may be a bit troublesome if your hands are full - see pic 7

🤔so is it worth it?

i personally LOVEEE this bag so yes, it’s worth it for me! i was dreaming about it for so long! it is versatile, and i can use it for many occasions. i am not someone super careful with my belongings, but the extra care i have to take for this bag doesn’t rly bother me. i am also someone who brings a lot of things out, including a water bottle so sometimes i wish it could fit one along with an umbrella, but i guess a bigger size would change the overall look so trade offs i guess. the price tag is also pretty hefty, but i feel rly happy everytime i wear it so no regrets!!
