A few weeks ago I noticed my bloating was getting pretty bad and I was even constipated. Being bloated for most of the day is no joke, it is very uncomfortable and painful. Even though a little bloating after eating is totally normal, experiencing bloating for the whole day is not. There are ways I like to help my body with the digestion of my food to decrease bloating. Here are some things I do.

1. Give yourself time to enjoy your food and eat more slowly. Make sure you are chewing your food many times and give yourself time to rest and digest once you are done. Digestion begins the moment you start chewing. Help your body digest faster and by chewing your food well.

2. Make sure you are hydrated and are drinking enough water. You do not want to get constipated and many times this can happen when you are not having liquids. I love having water with lemon the moment I wake up. Starting the day hydrated is very beneficial to your digestion.

3. Eat foods with fiber. Fiber helps out digestion and overall bloating. Make sure you eat fruits and foods high in fiber. Oranges, leafy green, and apples are great examples of these foods.
