I get heavy painful long periods! My periods start with many symptoms such as sad emotions, achy body, sore breast, and low energy. Period cramps follow with very heavy bleeding. I dread this time of the month so much and had a such a negative mindset of it.
This time of the month should not be so negative. I want to want to embrace it!
I have incorporated some habits that have helped me feel less negative about getting my period. Having periods is natural and they will not be going away until a while so turning my perspective on it has helped me not hate that time of the month.
1. I take long baths! It is my relaxing time. I take this time to let go of any worry or stress and just soak in the quietness.
2. I eat warm food. This really helps keep me warm hence I always feel cold during my period. It also helps relieve my cramps. I love eating warm soups or warm drinks.
3. I make time for myself! If there is something I have been wanting to do for myself that I had not made time for during the month I make sure I do during my period. For example getting my nails done, putting on a mask, going shopping, getting a new skincare item.
I find these habits to be healing! I take this time of the month to treat myself.
