Shopping for furniture? 5 reasons to check out HOW

I was invited to see the showroom at HOW furniture and I must say I was very impressed. Before this trip, I just thought furniture are just decorations and they just have to be comfortable. Boy was I wrong… Rico gave my friend and I a tour and introduced some of the furnitures that they have. Let me convince you to head down and get your next piece of furniture from HOW Furniture!

They feature furnitures from both Japan and Thailand. I was more impressed with the designs by Nobuo Mori and the intricacy and design process behind the furniture.

1️⃣ Functionality 🪑

If you’re looking for a sofa that comes with storage for your magazines/books, they have it. You’re looking for a sofa that is a day bed that comes with storage, they have it! They even have an arm chair that can swivel 360° that comes with a removable cup stand/platform.

2️⃣ Intricacy 🔍

You know a product is worth your money when the designer goes into the finest details when designing the piece of the furniture. Just look at their Agile series. The table is slightly curved so when you spill a drink or soup, it doesn’t flow off the table. The legs of the table are curved inwards to allow movements of the legs without hitting the table. The chairs can be flushed totally inwards to appear seamless, and it can even be hung on the table for you to sweep and mop the floor with ease! Not only that, they have swivel chairs too, you don’t have to push the seat back, just swivel to the side to stand.

3️⃣ Ergonomics 🚶🏻‍♂️

For those of you who have researched about furniture and go for showrooms would know that European furnitures are not made for us Asians… But these Japanese furnitures!! Every single piece fits like a glove. Your lower back is supported and the edge of the tables are even carved with a bend to prevent lines from forming when you work long hours on your laptop/paper work. This you got to try it for yourself to understand what I’m talking about.

4️⃣ Customisability 🟥🟨🟫🟪🟦🟧🟩⬜️⬛️

On top of that, everything customisable! From the colour, the wood material, to the height of the tables and chairs. The kind people at HOW furniture will let you know what is suited for you! It will be good if you bring your ID down to take a look at the colours and material to fit your home.

One thing that Rico told me about their customers is that they like to combine pieces from different collections to make into their personal set. You can take the Table from the Agile Collection, the chairs from IsuWorks and sofa from MasterWal. They will look cohesive because you can use the same wood material and colours to match the entire set.
