I practiced my typing and spent $18.10 today ⌨️

Today was an okay day, my mood was pretty calm and stable, except for a few moments when I felt hijacked by a wave of emptiness following the end of a series of job interviews—like the sudden panic you feel after a big exam, where you wonder what you should do with all that free time.

I figured I might be feeling this way because I’ve been staying at home too much for the past 1.5 weeks, and haven’t been exercising much during this period of time. So, I’ll make it a point to go out of the house tomorrow to get some sun and sweat. 😊

This afternoon, I was experimenting with a new post format. I wrote about all the first dates I’ve been on and my frustrations with online dating. After posting it, however, I felt my guilty conscience nagging at me for speaking ill of others. Even though I was doing it anonymously, I felt uneasy saying bad things about people online, and have since edited the post to omit certain details, focussing more on how I felt versus what they did.

I also started thinking what I should do with this account when I do get employed. My decision to post on Lemon8 was driven in large part by boredom, and perhaps the need for an outlet for all my pent up feelings about being unemployed.

In this process, however, I grew to appreciate the catharsis that comes along with journaling, and would like to continue writing. About what though? That is the question.

“A single person’s weekend plans.”But it won’t sound too different from my funemployment posts LOL. By now, my regular readers can guess my daily routine, I’m sure.

“An office worker’s 9pm diaries.” About random thoughts?

Bite-sized fun facts in the form of “Today I Learned”? I used to run a fun fact account on Instagram, which sadly didn’t gain much traction. I would post random fun facts about history and ecology, which I believe only a select group of people were interested in. I don’t think people on Lemon8 would want to read those either.

Okay I don’t know. Maybe I’ll continue thinking. If anyone has ideas, do let me know too! 😊
