My Story

When I was fourteen, I woke up one morning and realized I had peed my bed. I honestly didn't know what to think because I'm well potty trained at this point. It wasn't until I went to the restroom for the first time, and it hurt so bad to urinate. I felt like I was on fire that I didn't even want to, but I definitely knew I couldn't hold it. I never knew when I did or didn't need to pee. Long story short, my mom found out. She bought me cranberry juice... a lot of it. When things only got worse, and now I was urinating blood. My mom took me to the doctor. What they told me I will never forget. He said if i had waited any longer to come to the doctor, i would have been hospitalized with a serious kidney infection. It was so bad. I was given a shot in my bum, and it hurt terribly. The whole thing was honestly embarrassing and still is. I've still had pretty bad UTI's sense. I do things regularly to prevent UTI's , but im just so prone to them. The doctor had told me some women just are prone to these things. So don't be hard on yourself about things you have no control over at the end of the day.
