1. ππ’π₯π π¦: you can separate the corms, which are underground storage structures that produce new shoots, and propagate them using your favorite propagation medium. Youβll probably find them when repotting, especially if your alocasia hasnβt been repotted in a while!
2. π¦π§ππ ππ¨π§π§ππ‘ππ¦: you can cut a healthy stem from the parent plant and let it callus over before planting in a well-draining soil mixture to encourage root growth or using your favorite propagation medium to allow it to grow new roots before potting it up in soil. The mother plant will continue to grow and you could end up with multiple shoots from one stem on the mother plant!
3. πππ©ππ¦ππ’π‘: you can divide the parent plant by separating the rhizomes or tubers into smaller sections, each with roots and shoots, and plant them individually to grow into new plants. Youβll often notice your plant growing babies and theyβll have their own roots which make them easy to separate and pot up right away! This is probably the easiest of the 3 methods.
