Have you ever had a toxic soul tie?

A toxic soul tie is a relationship that can be unhealthy or toxic, and can prevent people from having their own interests, dreams, and friendships outside of the relationship.

Signs of a toxic soul tie include:

-Feeling anxious when apart from the other person

-Feeling jealous of the other person's other relationships or hobbies

-Relying on the other person for emotional support, or feeling pressured to do things you don't want to do for them

-Feeling like you've changed your identity due to the relationship, or struggling to define your identity without them

-Feeling emotionally or energetically drained after spending time with the other person, or sensing their emotions strongly influencing your own

Here are a few ways you could try breaking a soul tie:

-Acknowledge it: Once you realize this soul tie is incompatible with you life, it’s easier to break it.

-Forgive: Forgive yourself and the other individual involved (THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU ACCEPT WHAT HAPPENED, YOU JUST WANT TO MOVE ON WITH PEACE)

-Cut off contact: Cutting off contact is the most knowledgeable way to end a soul tie, although it may be the hardest

-Set boundaries: Establish clear boundaries with the other in order to correct a toxic soul tie

-Self care: Allow yourself to grieve in a healthy way.

How I broke my soul tie:

Being with a man for two years with no other individuals being involved in my support system, I felt like I had no other choice to stay. It took a major amount of time to realize there was one individual that could not be taken away from me. God. I prayed daily for this toxicity to be taken out of my life. I prayed for peace. I prayed for support. I prayed for safety. I didn’t stop praying. God answered my prayers just as he could do towards you.

THE ANSWER TO BREAKING A SOUL TIE:

TAKE TOWARDS GOD!!! He is your solution.
