Believe it or not, drywall tape bubbles happen even to most experienced contractors.

The first time I had to do this was on contractor work, and I had to learn it on the go 2 days before our deadline, with no guarantee that it won’t bubble again!

The key here is getting your tape really wet! New drywall immediately absorbs whatever water is there in your mud before the tape makes a contact with it, which results in bubbles later on when the tape surface is wet again, while painting over it for example!

It is easy to fix, it can be frustrating when you’re already done with all the other steps. Just take a deep breath and get on it!
