Why I quit polyamory

To start, I'm not villainizing poly relationships—this is just my personal experience. I was in a poly relationship with my ex-fiancé and my current girlfriend. Everything was fine until my fiancé started to view my girlfriend as competition. This created a lot of hostility, and seeing my fiancé behave like that made me not want to be around them. I naturally gravitated toward my girlfriend, which definitely didn't help the situation.

We all lived together, and it felt like I was being pulled to each side in a game of tug-of-war. It was honestly the worst experience of my life. Eventually, I decided to break up with my fiancé because they exhibited behaviors that made me uncomfortable, and I continued my relationship with my girlfriend, who stayed level-headed through the whole situation. After that, I quit polyamory because putting myself in a situation like that again would make me uncomfortable.
