Perks you can enjoy as a Unilever intern ✨

I’ve been interning at Unilever for about a year now and I gotta say I love their ✨office perks✨ !! Unilever encourages hybrid and flexible working arrangements and you usually won’t have to go to the office everyday (depends on your team but I’ll usually go 2-3x a week!)

I think Unilever is prob the biggest and one of the prettiest offices in Singapore? And these are some of the perks that you can enjoy as an employee there:

1) FREE BEN & JERRY’S ICE CREAM EVERYDAY (UNLIMITED)

There are about 8 different flavours for us to choose from and we can get unlimited cups of ice cream when we are at the office! But you can only get 1 scoop of ice cream at a time, prob to prevent ice cream wastage if you take too many at a go LOL

My fav flavours are strawberry cheesecake, caramel core and vanilla!! Most of us will even have our waffle break at about 2pm after lunch and you can enjoy a plate of fluffy waffle ($2.50) with a free scoop of ice cream 😋 so it’s much much cheaper than what you can get at waffle ice cream cafes since they usually cost at least $15 outside?

2) FREE CUP OF COFFEE SPECIALLY MADE FOR YOU (UNLIMITED)

I love coffee and my fav drink is their latte and adffogato!! Yes you can get a cup of adffogato (coffee + ice cream) - choose any ice cream flavour that you want to pair with your coffee! And I always get americano with vanilla ice cream rly yummy 🥹🥹

3) MASSAGE CHAIR ROOM (WELLNESS CENTRE)

We have a wellness centre where there are 4 massage chairs for us to rest and rejuvenate! You can also bring your laptop with you to do your work in the room while sitting on the massage chair (don’t fall asleep while doing your work bc its rly v comfy LOL) 🤪🤪

4) TENNIS COURT TO EXERCISE

Even though the tennis court is not used often, we can book it to play tennis or have team bonding games there! 🎾🎾🎾

5) HAIR SERVICES

Many of us will book an appointment to get their hair done during breaks and you can do hair services such as hair cuts or even hair treatments at a super discounted and affordable staff rate (hair treatments for only $20+?!) and I heard from many people that the hairdresser is p good~ I haven’t rly got the chance to try it since I didn’t want to do any hair treatment or hair cuts yet but I’m planning to try it soon 🤩🤩

6) OPEN PATIO SPACE TO WORK OR CHILL

If we feel cooped up doing work in the indoors office space, we can get outside to the open patio space at the top of the campus to do our work or even chill there with our colleagues! 😌

7) OUR OWN UNILEVER CAFE THAT SERVES FOOD AND DRINKS

We have our very own cafe/canteen where we can order free drinks + have hearty yummy lunch meals (not free but the food are affordable $5+-$6+)!! It’s super convenient for us to get our food and drinks directly on campus without needing to go outside to get our lunches. Also, the menu changes everyday so I am not bored of them! 😋

Overall, these benefits that we get to enjoy are super well thought out. I feel that the campus is an inclusive and safe space for us to work hard, and play hard at the same time💙🤍💙
