Should you visit the top of Taiwan? 🇹🇼✨

For those of you who have been to Taiwan (or even if you haven’t been there), y’all would’ve known about this super tall building called Taipei 101, which literally has 101 stories and is the highest building in the country.

Even though I’ve already been to Taiwan thrice, I went to Taipei 101 all 3 times as I went with diff groups of people. tbh during my most recent Taiwan trip with my bf, I didn’t rly wanna go Taipei 101 since I’ve alr been there twice but I thought it’ll be nice to take some pics there with him as memories XD and I can’t rly remember what I did there hence I decided to go back again.

Address 📍: 110, Taiwan, Taipei City, Xinyi District, Section 5, Xinyi Rd, 7號89樓 (if you take the train, alight from Taipei 101 MRT station)

Price of tix per pax to go up to the observatory: 500TWD (~$22+SGD)

WHAT CAN YOU DO THERE?

Before you enter the observatory, the staff will direct you to take a pic w a green screen and they will pass u a ticket number. You can view and purchase the pictures when you reach the 101st storey observatory, at the counter. I got these 2 pics for 600TWD (~$26SGD) and you can get digital copies too if you want and I think its 800TWD ($35~)? I wanted just the digital one but they don’t tell just the digital copies… so I just got 2 physical ones and I didnt want to add on ano $10 just for digital 👎🥸 so nvm…

Also, once you reach the observatory, of course you are able to see the birds’ eye view of the whole Taiwan when you go up to the observatory ~

There are many different aesthetic props for you to take pictures with and they are mostly floral themed, super pretty :’) One TIP: because the lighting there is generally q dim, you should take your pictures with flash imo cuz I tot the pic we took w the flowers are v nice when taken w flash!

Do note that there are actually 3 levels to the observatory that you are allowed to explore!

Top level - just a roof top space for you to see Taipei 101 in the outdoor space

Middle level - the level that we took pics in (w the props etc.)

And then you have the bottom level, which has this super cool looking simulated plane and you can pay to sit inside the plane (they even provided the pilot uniforms but I didn’t get to take the pics of them 🫣🤧)

I didn’t manage to take down the prices of the simulation room but they are pretty costly and you can only “fly” the plane for a short period of time so 🫣🤡 they also sell plane keychains and other plane-related merchandise so if you are a plane fanatic like my bf, you will defo love this level of the Taipei 101 observatory! 🤭🤭🤭

You can get a cup of drink / desserts at the mini cafe (middle level) to chill as well and they r p yummy!! But they are a little expensive… the small cake and the drink costs 500TWD ($26+ SGD) iirc

Overall, I feel that you won’t need to go Taipei 101 so many times like me (I mainly go bc I went with diff people as mentioned earlier so I wanted take pics w them there for the memories). I think you can just go once and it’ll a more than sufficient experience for you to see how the country looks like from the tallest building in Taiwan! 😀
