to: those who are afraid to be alone

coming from someone who has never dined out or watched a movie alone, the idea of going on a solo date sounded crazy. not sure when it started but I hate being alone. I fear the judgement of others (eg. why doesn’t she have friends, is she a loser, etc.), which gives me anxiety.

however, as we are growing up, I realised that your friends cannot be there for you 24/7. there are times where you need to be alone and I want to reassure you that it will be fine.

for sure, you might feel embarrassed telling the waiter you want a table for one, or get anxious when you are faced a problem and have no one to turn to but that will turn you into a stronger and confident person.

this is a reminder that being alone doesn’t mean being lonely.
