Babysitting activities!

This summer, I took on the roll of a babysitter! I currently babysit for a family of FIVE kids. They all range from infant- around 6/7 years old. These activities were for the older kids of the group and they LOVED each one! Each activity is an outdoor activity which not only gives them fresh air and tires them out BUUUT it also helps their motor skills, development, and creativity.

Nature walk: I got the worksheets off of teachers pay teachers for free! You can also make your own ofcourse . The kids loved doing it and were absolutely stoked to color the pictures afterward!

Rock painting: I did this in a 2 day span- towards the end of my session with them, we went to pick rocks from the park. Then the next day, we set up an old sheet outside and painted all the rocks! They loved letting their creativity flow and were also so excited to give them as gifts to friends, family, and even teachers. The best part about this is that they can paint as many rocks as they want! It’s really a time killer.

Birdhouses: I got 15 little wooden birdhouses off of Amazon for $20!! The kids LOVED painting them and were so excited to create little homes for birdies.

Nature search: very similar to the nature walk but a little more particular and hands on! The kids loved running all around the yard trying to find simple things.

Sidewalk chalk mosaic art: this one tired them right out! We spent most of the day taping the sidewalk and then coloring each box. Make sure you assign spots if you have a big group! You don’t want anyone fighting over spots.
