Makeup Do’s & Don’ts for Beginners! 👯‍♀️

hi girlies! today I nak share some of the makeup do’s and don’ts that are beneficial for makeup beginners ✨

since I became a makeup content creator a year and a half ago, banyak dah I learned from my mistakes but that doesn’t mean I still don’t make mistakes 🤣 makeup is all about experimenting! so kadang-kadang a makeup look works, sometimes tak. you nak try a new technique pon sometimes it doesn’t look that great as expected and it’s so frustrating! tapi don’t worry I’m gonna share the basic makeup do’s and don’ts so you can at least have basic knowledge on what to avoid and what to do 🤭

1. PRIMER ✨

okay primer is super important because it absorbs the oil on our face so it doesn’t matter if it’s a base primer or eyeshadow primer. I highly recommend using primer before proceeding with your makeup especially with eyeshadow lah. when I tak pakai eyeshadow primer, the pigment tak keluar sangat and kadang-kadang the eyeshadow melts away cepat gila 😭 so frustrating when you kat luar and cannot touch up so try to use eyeshadow primer!

if you takda eyeshadow primer, concealer pon okay to use as primer.

2. Setting Powder ✨

Setting powder or loose powder is essentially the same thing cuma it’s in different types of packaging. Setting powder tends to mattify and lock your makeup look for the day sebab the formula of the powder tu absorbs the excess oil on our skin 🦋 and it blurs out fine lines! dulu i never really cared about setting powder much tapi now I feel like I can’t live without it 🤣 it’s really the final perfect touch to any makeup look!

3. Never Forget Inner Corner Highlight!

no matter what your eyeshape or your eye makeup is, always pop off your inner corner with white matte eyeshadow or highlighter! it elevates your eyes making it gleam 😍✨🤍

4. Don’t skip sunscreen

remember the key to a good base is also good skincare so never forget your skincare before your makeup and especially your sunscreen! spf is so so important and the spf in your makeup products are not enough so remember that 🫡

5. Don’t do makeup with colors that don’t fit your skintone

like I said, makeup is an experiment. you kena try which techniques and colors and even products are good on you because we all have different faces! from there you modify everything ✨ since I’m tanned, those soft dull pink looks sometimes tak work on me 🤣 I love that makeup look but tulah it makes me look dull.
