Good evening 🍋8️⃣ residents,

During an interview with a manufacturing company I got asked a question about a subject that I wrote in my resume as part of my reason why I wanted to work there. At first I thought it was inappropriate for doing that but the interviewer further elaborated that the subject ‘is not being taught widely in chemical engineering in Japan yet’. I thought the subject is a common core subject for all chem eng students here but apparently it is not.

The subject is Powder Technology 🪽 According to The Society of Powder Technology, Japan, the term "Powder Technology" refers to engineering research and development devoted to dealing with powders or particulate materials. It covers the physics and chemistry of powders, powder production, handling and processing, equipment design and operation, evaluation of industrial tests, instrumentation, etc.

The company I was applying for manufactures a whole lot of powdery substances. I am literally perfect for the job if you ask me. More news coming soon 🙂
