Today I want to teach you how to read & listen to Japanese books for FREE!

What you need:

1️⃣ iPhone/iPad (iBooks app) + tips if you don’t have iBooks

2️⃣ YouTube

1️⃣ In iBooks they have free Japanese classics that you can download but this only works if you set up your Apple account region to “Japan”

📖 Another alternative to access free Japanese classics is thru this website

or Aozora Bunko. It provides Japanese classics that you can read and download legally. The website is in Japanese so it might take a while to get used to it but trust me it’s worth the hassle🧠

📖 If you can’t access these sites, I’d recommend getting a physical copy from Books Kinokuniya Malaysia as it is twice as effective learning-wise compared to reading digital copies;)

2️⃣ On YouTube there are a lot of free audiobooks (and sometimes videos of voice actors/actresses reading the books) that you can find by typing out 「朗読」 which means “audiobook” along with the book title and/or the author!

Some authors that you can expect to find are Natsume Soseki, Osamu Dazai, Akutagawa Ryuunosuke and more:)
