Eating Out Expenses 💸 : Student Edition

Good morning 🍋8️⃣ residents,

Today I want to share one not-so-secret of mine: I don’t like cooking. So I eat out almost everyday. Let’s see how much I spend a month only for FOOD❤️

One meal in Japan can range from ¥520-¥1800 so I will take an average of ¥1000 (RM40) so it’s easy to demonstrate. I eat twice a day so that’s ¥2000 a day. In a month I spend roughly ¥60000 on food ONLY🥲 That is equivalent of RM1.9k 🙋🏻‍♀️

If you want to study abroad, cooking is a good way to cut down costs. But some just couldn’t cook due to special circumstances (like me, because almost all of my friends here in Japan can cook), so I make sure to not buy other things.

Overall my spending is considered high, you can pay two months worth of rent in Japan.
