My Host Family in Japan (A Day with Me 🇯🇵)

Good morning 🍋8️⃣ residents,

One of my most precious experience while studying abroad in Japan is having host families! I have several host families throughout my years here. I’ll share them one by one;)

In Kagoshima, it’s so fun to have a family host because there are lots of scenic spots you can travel together to. The food here is also amazing. My foster mom takes the initiative to use shōyu (soy sauce) without alcohol 🥲💘 She encourages me to cook Japanese food properly and I appreciate it a lot. I am so grumpy in the kitchen for some reason so it’s hard for me to focus on cooking😭 She’s very patient and lovely.
