Is it your first time in KL or just another visit? Here are places to go that I covered during my 24hours stay in KL!

1. Jalan Petaling

Centre of KL, Chinatown district; nothing can go wrong; you get the shopping of different goods, amazing food, pray at temple, or just enjoy the lively vibes. It is where my fav porridge; Hon Kee is located too

📍Hong Kee

2. Central Market

A few mins away from Petaling Street, there is Central Market; where all the locals handcrafted goods, art, local food, and stores are located. What i like about this place; its historical building that is built in 1888! It was originally build as a wet market for the locals.

3. Kloe Hotel

Best best best best hotel to stay for those who travel alone, with friends, or with partner. The vibe screams youth and lifestyle (lol), you got everything you need there. I like how functional their spaces is, the playful design, the amenities, cafe, swimming pool, restaurant located all in the hotel. They also have communal area downstairs where you can work or relax. This hotel is perfect for WFA. My fav thing about it are their personalised service, and free curated local snacks provided in your room! Oh they also have Nespresso coffee machine in each room!

4. REXKL

All fun happening things is in this reincarnation of old theatre. It serves as a place for communities, events, exhibitions, performances, screenings, bookstore, retails like vintage store, and food therapy! The picture you are seeing is my fav part of the whole building; it is a bookstore called BookXcess , entirely constructed by thick mdf board like a maze; retailing different kinds of book. The place also serves as auditorium overlooking this open stage at the heart of the building. They usually have pop up market on weekends too!

5. Kwai Cai Hong

There is this pretty alley full with historical murals AND connected to some cool bars at Jalan Petaling (again lol). It is good to take your touristy pictures there, then decide which restaurant you want to dine in the neighbourhood.

6. The Hungry Tapir

I know that this post is not the only one you have seen in Lemon8 that showcase places to go and restaurant to visit in KL, but mark this restaurant called The Hungry Tapir; it is a vegan restaurant, dont be scared if the word vegan (lol) as a meat eater like myself enjoy their food too much. The vibe is great, price is reasonable RM 15-30, food is heaven. I tried on a few dishes, and my fav is their Laksa; the soup is on point.

7. Lalaport

When i went to KL, i went by bus departed and arrived at Berjaya Times Square. While waiting for the bus I went to this shopping centre that was formerly known as Pudu Jail. Yes i know it sounds weird, the jail is now replaced with beautiful building. As a historical landmark, and despite its dark past; the developer retains the main gate and a portion of the exterior wall. The lighted up outdoor staircase is beautiful, and worth visiting.

Don’t forget to save this post as your reference!
