thrifters’ paradise in queensway ✨🫶🏻

My fellow lemons 🍋, good news! You don’t have to make that trip across the causeway for thrifting anymore 😎 because we have affordable and GOOD thrifting options right here in sg!! 🇸🇬

I’ve been to Jalan Dhoby (aka thrifting street) in jb and I was not impressed..I did see cute thrifting shops buttt you may need to dig for steals or items that are your style. Plus then you gotta lug it all back to sg 💀 so you can imagine that I was mighty pleased when I finally got the chance to visit Queensway Shopping Centre and the highly famed honsieponsie & other thrift stores!!! Did I mention that Queensway Shopping Center is also home to PlanetDays (cute little shop with handmade creations from local insta shops #supportlocal #supportsmallbusiness AAAND the famous katong laksa and curry chicken? 🤩🤩

While #thriftedfashion isn’t everyone’s cup of tea nor style, I do feel that the thrift shops here at Queensway boasts a much wider variety of items compared to the ones I saw in jb (though my perception of jb’s thrift shops is very limited bc I only visited 2!). Here you can find reworked corset tops, reworked Nike slings, jewelry, tons of Harley Davidson tops, Dickies bottoms, dungarees, vintage sweaters and jumpers, and sports jerseys. One of the shops even has a cute claw machine you can play! Meanwhile, I find jb’s thrift selection pretty limited 💀

A plus point is that Queensway Shopping Centre is very conveniently located opposite Ikea (Alexandra) and Alexandra Central, and there are often mini pop up stores at the entrance~ it was raining when I went so I didn’t get a good look at what they sold ☔️
