It's no secret that I love decorating with candles. I have made many candles throughout my years as a diyer and here are a few of my favorites. Which one is your favorite?
Candle 1: Bowl Candle- This is a Dollar Tree diy that I am still obsessed with and over a year later, I am still decorating with this diy. The candle is made out of 2 DT glass bowls that I spray painted black. I used E6000 to glue the bases together and made a candle out of soy wax. I've since refilled this candle a few times and in different ways. One time, I used the last bits of a bunch of candles to refill this. It was a great way to repurpose what I had on hand.
Candle 2: Repurposed candle. I always save the leftover wax from my Bath and Body Works candles and used all of that up to make this candle. I chose this as one of my favorites because of this vignette. I still love the styling of this candle. Unfortunately, in my move this summer, that head vase got broken. 😭😭 I could cry thinking about it. She was so pretty and I miss decorating with her.
Candle 3: Graveyard Candle. It should be noted that this candle is strictly decor and not for burning. I love the look of this candle so much! It's creepy and cute with bones sticking out of different places, a skull peeking through the wax, and gravestones standing as a background.
Candle 4: I am obsessed with candles. I am obsessed with disco balls. Why not combine them?! This candle is also made with two Dollar Tree glass bowls. Instead of spray painting them, I covered them in disco tiles. This was a fun and fabulous project. I am obsessed!! The sparkle!!! Incredible!
Candle 5: Dripping Wax Skull Candle. Since the day I made this, it has been proudly on display. It is still one of my all time favorite projects and yeah...it's been posted a few times....and it will be again. I can't help it. He's creepy cute! I cut a hole out of the top of a @dollartree skull that was just big enough for a Dollar Tree candle. I did add a few wooden pieces to the bottom base of the skull to make him sit a little more level. Once painted, I got the candle into place and "glued" it there with melted wax. I kept dripping and pouring wax all over the skull until I was happy with its look. I wanted it to look like it had been used for centuries. I love him so much.
Candle 6: The bleeding skull candle but with black wax instead of red. The bleeding candles were a really big trend a while ago but I'm not a fan of color and needed to make it my way. Now I have a fabulous black and white candle. Maybe he has a zombie brain and bleeds black. Either way, I love him without the red wax.
Candle 7: A moon phase candle in a vintage cut glass crystal bowl. I love anything with the moon and knew I had to make a moon candle. I, honestly, was unsure if this would work out as I was afraid I'd break all of the moon pieces. I didn't! It turned out so beautifully and looked amazing with my decor.
Candle 8: This diy was from years ago. I love anything with black lace. It's goth and glam! I made a candle in a Dollar Tree glass vase and decorated the outside with some black lace. I just used mod podge to adhere it and it looked so pretty. Lace adds the perfect touch!
Which is your favorite??
