Martha is a young woman living during the present day and is on the run as she is trying to escape her abusive relationship with her husband. She stumbles upon an elderly woman looking for live-in care and Martha eagerly accepts the free room and board. Here, she meets Henry.

Henry is on a research assignment for a university. He is in the search of a manuscript and a bookshop that he’s not entirely sure even exists.

Each character is in search of a better, more fulfilling life. What isn’t expected is the incredible connection that draws them all together.

This is a story of the importance and magic of words and books. It is an absolute must read for those who simply love reading. It is a written interpretation of all the feelings and emotions an avid reader and lover of books is affected by when they pick up a text.
