Thanksgiving rules for my kids

Thanksgiving is in 2 days! & all though it’s great to have large family gatherings it can also be a stressful time for parents. These are rules I have set in place for my kids that I like to remind family members ahead of a large family gathering.

1) No kissing the baby. Yes you’ll see me do it but I’m their mom. It’s not only the holiday season but it’s also RSV season.

2) Respect my toddler’s boundaries. My toddler does not have to give you a hug, my toddler does not have to say hi to you, my toddler does not have to let you hold them. I will not make my toddler feel uncomfortable to make you feel better.

3) No comments about how much or how little they eat. Specially when it comes to my toddler who understands a lot more than you think he does.

4) No sibling comparisons. Or comparing them to any other kid for that matter. All babies & kids are different and shouldn’t be expected to act the same.

Remember mamas, your babies your rules. & their comfort comes before anyone else’s ❤️
