Study Essentials

Here are some of my study essentials as a college student! :)

Music-personally, I find it easier to study when I have some background music. I try not to choose music with lyrics though because they’re distracting

Astrostation.me- this website is so helpful when it comes to studying. You can customize the widgets to whatever you want. I personally like the Spotify feature, the timer feature, the task list, and the notes list. But there’s plenty of other widgets to choose from. Setting a timer helps me stay on track to study and also find time to take a break.

Good notes- goodnotes is convenient because it saves paper and it’s customizable. I use digital notetaking for my online classes & when I have to jot down important information from textbooks.

Notebook-I find it helpful to have physical notes for my in person classes. I like the feeling of paper better than a screen and it’s less distracting. I like the dotted paper because you can write or draw on it.

Supplies-I love having fun notetaking supplies. Highlighters and marker pens are a must for me. And of course, white out for mistakes. I haven’t fact-checked it for myself, but I hear that color helps us remember things better.

Notecards- these are so helpful for studying. You can write questions on one side and answers on the other and quiz yourself. I also use mine as “cheat sheets” when my professors allow it!
