Before trying straps in the gym out, I thought they were considered cheating. However, I quickly learned that it’s just another tool to help with grip and forearm strength, allowing you to focus more on consistent good form, more reps, and higher weight, INSTEAD of thinking about how much longer you have til ur grip falls through or forearms give up.
The first time I used straps I couldn’t believe the results, and realized my potential with upping the weight; I knew the only thing stopping me before was being able to actually pick the weight up without my grip starting to slip, to the point I was holding on with two fingers.
I suggest straps to anyone who has the same issue I used to, and especially suggested to people who train or target legs the most! (found VERY effective when it comes to deadlift or RDL’s)
