hard truths of not having a grad trip

here’s the story of why i didn’t go for one and how it affected me 🥲

i only planned to go on one grad trip with my close friend however she fell really ill and wasn’t in the state to go for grad trip, moreover she had to retake her last semester as she didn’t get to finish her modules. i didn’t really make other travel plans as i just didn’t have the mood to travel without her… and i would rather accompany her in sg 😅

another thing is that i want to pay about 90% of my own tuition fees so going on a grad trip wouldn’t be possible. i didn’t want to take money for my parents and go have fun without them so money was also a factor i had to think about.

i think i regret a little bit, i feel like i should have rest longer before starting my full-time job but at the same time i am happy that i’m earning now so i can recover from the loan of my tuition fees 🥹 i may also be feeling v tired as i am managing my side hustles alongside with my full-time job

i made a promise with my close friend that we will travel when she feel better 🥺 and by then we will have a higher disposable income which will allow us to have more financial capability to spend overseas

i do envy those that have grad trip(s) but since life turned out this way i decided to try to be more positive abt it! will definitely go on a trip when i can take leave 🤣
