Writers block

As someone who writes for 5-6 hours a day, you can’t run or hide from writers block. It will find you and drag you out of your cozy comfy nook.

1. Walk away, shut the computer, go on your phone. Do anything but sit and stare endlessly at your story. Clear your mind. Go and get a coffee. Let the ideas come to you. If you just sit on it then it’ll be a lot more difficult.

2. Get into your characters mind after you have cleared your own mind. Ask yourself ‘WWMCDN’ - What Would My Character Do Now? After all you’re the one who knows them inside and out. Do they take action on something that happened earlier in the story? Do they go out for a food and run into another person? Are they really who they say they are?
