Scripture:

“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” (Psalm 34:8, NIV)

Observation:

• This verse invites us to experience God’s goodness firsthand, not just to hear about it. The metaphor “taste and see” suggests that knowing God is an experiential process, something personal. It encourages us to trust in Him by taking refuge, and promises blessing to those who do.

Application:

• In my life, this verse is a reminder to seek God actively. Instead of trying to figure everything out on my own, I can rely on God’s goodness and protection. Whether through prayer, reading the Bible, or reflecting on past experiences, I can focus on how God has been good to me and trust Him in current struggles.

Prayer:

“Lord, thank You for being so good. Help me to trust You more and to take refuge in You, especially in difficult times. Let me experience Your goodness daily and remind me to be grateful for all You’ve done. Amen.”
