drinking has never been a part of my life, and I’m no stranger to being the only person in the room without a drink. it’s so cool that being sober curious or forgoing alcohol is more common today but i think there’s still a narrative that you’re fun if you drink and not if you don’t, which is just not the truth!

i wish i had adopted this mentality sooner, but now when I’m in a room where alcohol is the main attraction, it doesn’t phase me at all because i still feel and know that i belong AND can still have fun 😎 it took some time to get to this place where I’m no longer reluctant or embarrassed to say I don’t drink. It’s my choice and I own it, and that feeling is more empowering to me than a drink ❤️
