Free Tour Around Istanbul?!

🚨 Did you know that if you have a layover with Turkish Airlines in Istanbul, you can get a FREE tour? I had a 6 hour layover there just last week and found out about this super fun opportunity. Turkey is number 1 on my bucket list, and although I didn’t get to experience a whole trip here, this tour was a great first impression. You can choose from either a free hotel stay or a free tour. You do need a visa in order to enter Turkey, but the application process is very quick. It does cost $50 USD for the visa, but it is active for 6 months, and I plan on returning anyway. There is an area at the airport where you can sign up for a tour once you land, and they have options varying from 3 hours to a full day tour, depending on how long your layover is. Each tour has a varying itinerary, and the guide will make sure everyone makes it back in time for their next flight! We did the 3 hour bus tour around Istanbul and visited the Galata Bridge, Dolmabache Palace, a pretty cafe, and learned about the history of the areas that we passed through.

We did the shortest tour, but overall, I would definitely recommend this experience.
