🍡Shilin Night Market is a famous night market located in the Shilin District of Taipei, Taiwan. It started as a small makeshift market in the 20th century and has since grown into one of the largest and most popular night markets in Taipei.

🧋Shilin Night market is no stranger to many, but with the amount of food stalls, what is worth queuing for and worth the calories?

🍗 Large Fried Chicken: A huge fried chicken fillet that's crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

🌭 Grilled Taiwanese Sausage: A sweet and savory sausage that's grilled to perfection and served on a stick. Try the ones with glutinous rice wrapped on the outside, so yummy! it’ll fill you up very fast too, so best to have a friend to share the load.

🦪 Oyster Omelette: A dish made with oysters, eggs, and sweet potato starch that's fried to create a crispy texture. not a big fan of oysters but we saw so many ppl in the queue

😷 Stinky Tofu: A pungent tofu that's fermented and deep-fried, often served with pickled cabbage or a spicy sauce. Tho stinky but i slowly grew to like the taste, i find the smell bearable now and the combi of deep fried tofu with pickled cabbage omg love it!

🪨 Fried Buns: A popular snack made by stuffing dough with various fillings, such as pork, vegetables, or curry, then deep-frying until golden brown.

🍼 Fried Milk: A dessert made with milk, sugar, and flour, then coated in bread crumbs and deep-fried to create a crispy outer layer.

🥞 Scallion Pancake: A flaky and crispy pancake made with scallions and flour, often served with soy sauce or a spicy sauce. A must have every time we visit Shilin!

🍜 Oyster Mee Sua: as mentioned not a fan of oysters but the mee sua is enough to make us look past the oysters in it hahahha - savoury, thick & flavourful broth, its heaven on earth
