This is how I snapped up cheap tickets to BKK

As the world opened up for travels again, we are starting to see prices of flights and hotels surge to insane prices.

For context, a budget airline return ticket to BKK can cost as much as $600-$700 on end.

This is in no way a budget for a weekends getaway

Now, that’s where Google Flights can come in handy!

Google flights is fairly simple to use, simply enter in your destination and a list of flights will be presented to you in order of pricing & timing available.

I’ll recommend you to turn on the “track prices” function and you will receive daily emails on your chosen dates (As shown in video)

In the video, you will see 3 Emails sent on 3 different days showing you how the daily prices have moved. And based on the prices, you can then make an informed decision whether to book the flights.

There is also a scale to show you whether this is higher or lower than typical flight prices to your destination - which is a pretty good gauge on whether you are getting ripped off or getting on a good deal!

In my experiences, Tuesday seemed to be comparatively cheaper than most days. (Maybe a fluke, but let me know :))

Well, if this is still not enough for you.

Google Flights will also prompt you every now and then when they found flights that are similar to what you are looking for. But, on different dates.

And that’s how I got noticed of a return flight at a steal!

All inclusive $194 return flight for a 1 week trip, pretty sweet uh?
