my unique wedding 🫶🏼✨

my husband and I dated for 6 months before getting engaged and got married a day before being together for 9 months. we knew early on we were meant to be, so we didn't wait. we dove right in!

we got married at 10am on a Thursday morning in October. we had the ceremony outside and the Wisconsin cold/rain held off right until after the ceremony. 🗓️

I made my (and my bridesmaids) bouquet out of fake flowers from JoAnn Fabrics. The bridesmaid's dresses were from Amazon! 💐

I designed our newspaper programs in Canva and then had them printed by a company in Germany. It was complete with a cross word about us and everything 😉

My grandma was my flower girl and my uncle pushed her down the aisle. It was so special to have someone who has been a part of every big moment in my life to be a part of this one 🥹

I bought my dress off the wrack from David's Bridal. It was on clearance and I took it home that day! It fit perfectly, the only alteration was having the lace shortened. The sleeves of my dress were bought on Etsy- they didn't come with the dress! 👰🏻‍♀️

We served donuts and coffee immediately following the ceremony. People mingled, laughed, and said hello to my new husband and I. 🍩 ☕

At 11:45am I told my guests, "you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here! I want to go spend time with my husband!" as a kind way to let them know the wedding was over. Then the bridal party and family took all the photos and came back in 30 minutes to have subs, chips, water/soda, and cookies.

Lastly, we had the father-daughter, mother-son, and our first dance. After that, we put on some fun music, danced and talked, and then tore down/loaded everything up!

My husband and I were out of the venue and home by 2pm and enjoyed the rest of the day together. And our entire wedding cost about $5,000 total 🎉
