Who are these women?

Mary Magdalene: Mary Magdalene was a follower of Jesus and had witnessed his crucifixión and burial. Mary Magdalene was also the first to witness the resurrection of Jesus. She was possessed by demons before Jesus had found her, she also helped to financially aide Jesus in Galilee. Her story is a story of FAITH✝️🤍.

Esther: Esther was a young Jew and ends up finding favor with the king at the time in Persian Diaspora. She later becomes queen and risks herself to save the Jews from destruction after the Court had persuaded the king into starting a massacre or “pogrom” against all Jews in the empire. Esther’s purpose on Earth was to save and rescue God’s people✝️🤍

Dorcas: Dorcas or Tabitha, was a disciple of Jesus and is mentioned in Acts of the Apostles. She is known for her good acts of mercy and doing good for the people. Dorcas would sew clothes for the poor and for the widows. After her passing she was greatly mourned by the community. She is best known for her gift of hospitality✝️🤍

Mary: Mary was the mother of Jesus Christ and the wife of Joseph. She lived without sin and was chosen by God to carry his son Jesus. Although afraid, she was humble and open to accepting God’s gift. Her story demonstrates to us love for God and the good in humanity✝️🤍

Hannah: Hannah was the mother of the prophet Samuel. She had consistently pray to God for a son and promised she would dedicate her son to God. Soon, her prayers had been answered and she gave birth to Samuel and took him to religious trainings. Her story teaches us to trust Gods plan and to be consistent with prayer. God’s plans for us are better than our own✝️🤍

Abigail: Abigail was a humble and sweet woman who married a rich man named Nabal that was known for being a scoundrel and rude. Not far from where they had resided, King David needed supplies so he gathered his men to send to Abigail and Nabal’s home. Although the men had treated Nabal with respect when they asked for supplies, Nabal had treated them unkindly and had insulted them. King David was furious with Nabal and told his men to grab their weapons and fight back. After hearing this, Abigail then went out to King David and bowed down to him and begged him to stop and to think about what he was doing which caused her husband to be free from harm. Her story teaches wisdom and trusting the process with kindness✝️🤍

Elizabeth: Elizabeth was the mother of John the Baptist and maternal cousin to Mary. God promised Elizabeth a child and fulfilled it, but not only did he do this, he also provides their son with a faithful upbringing which helped him fulfill his ministry and teachings. By this, Elizabeth’s life has changed. Her story teaches the importance in believing and believing in the promises of God✝️🤍

Lydia: Lydia was a successful business woman who sold luxury purple dyed textiles and was the first Gentile convert in all of Europe and was the first to open her home as a worship place for European Christians. Although she was not Jewish, she believed that there was a God above all so she prayed by a river with other women. Her story teaches us to invite others in to what we had experienced and to believe in the power of prayer and open our hearts to the Lord✝️🤍

Ruth: Ruth was a woman that was a widow, but after her husband, his brother, and his father passed, she remained with his mother and moved to Judah with her. The love between the mother in law and daughter in law teaches how love shall be shared even outside of your family and how it should be shared to all. The Lord watched over the blessing of her productivity and to keep going✝️🤍
