I’m that fresh grad with unrealistic expectations

Before ANYONE come for me! I know I’m being abit delulu but I really wanted it for myself.

I often receive the questions what my dream job was after graduation.

And what I wanted is a role in fashion marketing that paid well, but soon realized this ideal job didn't exist. I was picky about workload, hours, and pay, but my qualifications were only equivalent to an intern's. 😵‍💫

It hit me when an interviewer told me I didn't know what I wanted (btw I was very defensive😅, I’m like wdym idk what I want i have a clear goal of high paying marketing job)

TURNS OUT that my passion and salary expectations didn't align. The jobs everyone wants don't pay well, and the high-paying jobs aren't in demand. It was a wake-up call to rethink my priorities.

And this was 4months in after graduation, around 6 months after my last lesson held in School. I SPEND 6 MONTHS LOOKING FOR THIS JOB NOT EVEN AVAILABLE FOR ME IN THE MARKET 😤

so tips for any fresh grad out there!

1. Embrace reality, the faster you know what you want has to be realistic the easier it is for you to land a job

cuz the world outside of your school is a bigger ass than the person giving you your grades.

But please dont get mistreated at your workplace, you dont deserve that too!🥺

2. Choose one, passion or money you can only have one especially for a fresh graduate. this will speed up your process during job hunting.
