Will Irish springs keep the bugs out

Hey there, it's springtime and you know what that means? The bugs are out! I've noticed quite a few flies buzzing around my house the last few days and I'm not too thrilled about it. Luckily, I came across a video that suggested using Irish Springs soap around your doors and windows to keep the bugs out.

So, being the curious person that I am, I picked up some Irish Spring soap to give it a try. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with the results so far. I placed a few bars of soap around my windows and doors and have seen a significant decrease in the number of flies and other pesky insects that have been trying to invade my home.

I'm wondering if any of you have tried this hack before? If so, has it worked for you? I'm always on the lookout for great homeowner hacks, so if you have any other suggestions, please let me know in the comments below.
