this rule will elevate your desk setup!

This rule won’t apply to everyone, but it’s one that has helped me achieve my somewhat minimal + cozy + clean desk setup! 😌 If you're looking for ways to elevate your setup mindfully, I'd recommend using this rule as a guide for your desk space!

1) 60% - Dominant Color ◻️

Following this rule, 60% of your space should be made up of 1 dominant color. For my desk setup, that color is white with my white walls and desk items (lamps, headphones, mouse, keyboard... you get the idea)

2) 30% - Secondary Color/Texture 🪵

Here, 30% of your space should consist of another color/texture! For me, my secondary color + texture is a brown/wood pattern. I wanted to add a natural element to my desk space, and this brown/wood is a perfect contrast to the white walls

3) 10% - Accent 🪴

The final 10% of your space is where your accents come in, whether it’s an accent color, texture, or item. My accent color + item are the green plants! Though they are on the bigger side, notice how they don’t overwhelm the space with their dispersed placements throughout. I make sure they aren't close together to prevent a cluttered look!
