🎧I’ll Choose AIRPODS MAX over SONY

I’ve been a user of the airpods for a long time and loved it a lot! My airpods died one day and I went back to wired earphones because one of the downsides to the airpods or most wireless earbuds is that their battery life isn’t the best. PLUS, I fumble with the earbuds a lot and drop them often, I think that contributed to its short lifespan. It was only comfortable when I was actually using it when listening to music. For my ears, it won’t stay in if I’m doing HIIT either😕

The AirPods Max caught my eye because its an apple product and I saw a lot of Internet girlies wearing it and it was very cute🤭 But the deciding factor was the fact that I know I’ll use it a lot - when working, doing chores, taking walks, gymming, etc. THE BATTERY LIFE IS SO GOOD! (I’m currently on holiday overseas and only had to charge it once in these 10 days, but of course I’m not using it heavily. But still!) Now the AirPods Max is #MyGoTo

A few weeks later, my husband bought the Sony’s because he needed wireless headphones for work meetings at home. I suggested for him to check out Sony instead of Apple Airpods Max since its at a lower price point and he’s not the kind that will buy things just because it looks good😂 I think what sold him was that the Sony headphones had more censors than the Apple. This means IT IS SAFER to use since it is a noise-cancellation device. It can be dangerous when walking on the pavements in Singapore as there are e-bikes and bicycles that go quite fast sometimes. The SONY can also sense your voice so it pauses the audio when you speak and then automatically unpauses itself when you stop talking. *this is something 🎧Airpods Max does not have

In terms of noise-cancellation, both devices do a fantastic job, one of the best in the markets! I personally don’t use it unless I really want to block out music/people, but I use transparent mode most of the time as I prefer to be able to hear if there’s someone behind me.

*Elaborating on the ease of usage for Apple users*

I realised that the Sony doesn’t disconnect when you take it off. This means audio may still play through the headphones even when you are not wearing it. But because I have an iPhone, or any Apple device that the Airpods Max is connected to, the Airpods Max automatically disconnects once it is taken off my head. I find this intelligence super helpful and compatible with my lifestyle because I have multiple Apple devices. The Airpods Max can seamlessly connect to whichever device that is in use! But I assume it wont work this seamlessly if you have android devices.

The SONY headphones also requires you to download an app whereas the Apple Airpods does not.

Lastly, the build of the Apple headphones IS SO MUCH BETTER than Sony’s! SONY is plastic throughout whereas the AirPods Max have metal parts (similar to macbooks) I guess the slightly higher price point comes from the fact that it is Apple + the materials used is better/heavier.
