Check Once Your Reno Is Completed!!!!

#Adulting101 I’m so happy there are so many homeowners sharing their reno journey:) I renovated my home in 2020/2021 and started documenting my journey as well!

This isn’t talked about enough, but here are some things you should check, even though “nvm la, small thing” is usually the easier way out.

1. Cabinet doors should be aligned and not one longer than the other

2. Across the entire carpentry surface, it should all be flat! (Run the palm of your hand across to get a good feel!)

3. Check your anti-slam mechanism! Especially if you paid for more expensive hinges, make sure they work

4. Your built-in appliances in the kitchen and other areas, THEY SHOULD NOT MOVE OK!!

Someone actually reached out to me on IG to ask if its normal, and tbh I’m not super experienced and haven’t seen such things. But something in me realised that it could be so dangerous if I wanted to be nice and share that it’s ok and she shouldn’t worry so much! If the entire hob moves while cooking, someone might be at risk of burning themselves!

5. Check your paint job! (Mine was done pretty badly as you can see from the photos, and it’s one of those things which have taught me to not be too nice and let it slide)
