My Fave Sushi In NYC

New York is filled with sushi places. From Omakase to tasting menus to hole-in-the-wall spots you can find any and every type. Typically, I love a handroll but, there is one spot in all of New York that I truly find unforgettable. Ume is located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is the place to go where you can find an incredible experience on top of incredible food.

When you first walk in they have it set up so you leave your shoes there and the experience begins right away. You wash your hands as you enter and they then take you to your table. You sit on the ground as they walk you through the menu which is almost perfect in my eyes. They have it so that there are certain sauces and seasonings that pair well with some of the dishes.

I recommend ordering their signature sushi set. It is the must-order menu item and will truly make the entire meal spectacular. The sushi itself melts in your mouth and is incredibly fresh. The service was spectacular and the server was very attentive to me and all my needs. To this day I dream about it and strongly feel like it is the best sushi you can get in all of New York.
