Authentic korean food in the west?

When I have craving, I usually go all out to get it satisfied. 🤭 Yesterday, I had craving for SBCD Korean Tofu House’s soondubu but it was quite far away so I decided to search around my area for good tofu stew instead! Then I chanced upon this small restaurant listing in google with 4.8 stars review! However, the good reviews and recommendations were for the gimbap and kimchi stew instead but I think the other dishes shouldn’t be too far off right? Haha.

The dishes we had tried:

1) Pork Tofu Stew ($18.80)

Honestly it was quite underwhelming and nowhere close to SBCD Korean Tofu House. Will not recommend to try!

2) Dakgalbi ($16.80)

The chicken doesnt taste like it’s from frozen meat and the sauce is on a sweeter note. However, it is not as flavourful as what we expected it to be. Can order if you are not a fan of pork instead!

3) Crabmeat Mayo Gimbap ($11.80)

I LOVE GIMBAP OR LIKE MAKISAN. Of course I have to takeaway their top item for my lunch today and it does not disappoint at all! Although my husband dont like gimbap, he enjoys it as well! If you like spinach you should give it a try too!

SPECIAL MENTION: They have one of the best kimchi I ever tried in Singapore!!!! Refillable too!!!Potato salad as banchan was addictive too but sadly it is not refillable.

Service: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️/5 (friendly staff but they quite some time to serve the dish on weekend dinner)

Food: ⭐️⭐️/5

Location: ⭐️⭐️/5 (Nearest mrt will be Clementi but will have to change bus from there)

Will I visit again? Only when I’m craving for gimbap!
