Why play dough?

- It doesn’t (usually) make a big mess and it’s easy to transport around.

- It requires little to no preparation to use.

- It’s inexpensive.

- It can be used by itself or with a variety of “tools,” such as plastic knives, rollers, and stencils.

- It can be used during therapy sessions and at home.

How to use play dough in sessions:

- Just playing! Target language expansion.

- To work on following directions and auditory comprehension

- To work on turn-taking

- To work on communication functions

- As a brain break

- As a fidget
