How to start a budget, lazy girl style

Embarrassing fact: It’s taken me years to start a budget that I can actually stick to.

But recently, I started using an app that has kept me in the loop of my personal finances. 💸 I used to feel overwhelmed and honestly, a little scared to look at my spending habits.

Now I feel a lot more confident in where my money is going, so I can spend it on the things I love (no restricting, just intentionality 💖)

Here’s how I started with budgeting:

1- Find a tool to make it easy! I found an app I love! I’m using Rocket Money, which pulled in all my info, so I can see what I’ve been spending per category for the last year! Whether it’s an app or a template, find something you can actually stick to! I knew I couldn’t stick to something that wasn’t automated!

2- Define priorities. It’s not about restricting where my money goes, it’s about being more intentional about my finances so I can spend on the things, and people I love. And my pup 🥹🐶

3- Check on it. We’ve all had apps or spreadsheets we never look at! Make sure you look at your finances weekly or monthly!!
