🇹🇭 Bangkok To-Do: Floating Market Boat Ride

For a complete Bangkok experience, I’d definitely suggest experiencing one of these floating market boat rides in the mornings!

There are many floating markets in Bangkok, but we chose to head to the Khlong Lat Mayom floating market because it was written online that it’s one of the more local markets with fewer tourists around.

Here, the main market is actually on solid ground but there’s still a floating boats selling fruits and vegetables in the mornings!

As it’s one of the more local markets, it’s smaller than the other floating markets, but it still offers the famous long tail boat ride that we took!

You can probably bargain with the locals and get them to take you on the boat ride for about 200-300 Baht! It’s a pretty fun experience to watch the slow pace of life go by as you ride through the river & explore the area 🚤

The locals there are generally friendly and will smile and wave at you as you ride through their river!

It’s located pretty near another floating market as well (Taling Chan Floating Market) so tourists usually just combine both in a day’s itinerary.

I’d say the experience is a 3.8/5 and it’s not my favourite in Bangkok but it’s definitely unique and a do it while you’re there kind of experience :)
