Solo Date Idea 005: Sunset Walk at Tuas Lighthouse

Looking for a spot to watch a sunset with minimal human traffic around you? Looking for a spot to stare out at a blank canvas of the sea with the occasional vessel passing through? This spot is definitely for you if you answered yes to the above! Even more so if you live in the west because this view is conveniently located at the far east of Singapore, right at the Raffles Marina Lighthouse.

How to get there:

Take a train to Tuas Link MRT Station & follow directions from Google Maps! It’s pretty close by and with a 5-10 mins walk you should be well on your way to the pier.

What to expect at the Raffles Marina Lighthouse?

You’ll be greeted by breezy winds and swaying palm trees that give you the country clubhouse experience! Rows of private yachts line the Bay Area and I suggest heading there at sunset timing to catch light rays hitting the water, it’ll make the trip worth it.

Take a leisurely stroll down the pier right to the end of the lighthouse and watch as vessels glide peacefully through the seas, with the link bridge in the background. It definitely doesn’t feel like Singapore as it’s physically away from the hustle & bustle of the city.

Pack your own dinner & enjoy some food while watching the sunset!

Be careful not to walk too near the sides of the walkway because there are no safety nets if you fall over; it’s straight into the sea… just be careful while you’re enjoying your walk there!
